I'm looking for a reason to jump ship from my Kindle, but that doesn't mean I'm not keeping an eye on the competition. I've been part of the Kindle ecosystem for several generations now, but my current Kindle dates back to 2019. It's a base model, and it's one of the first ones available that has a lit screen, but sadly, it doesn't support USB-C charging. I was excited to leave my Paperwhite behind for it, but the passage of time has continued to flow, and it feels like it's time to start looking for an upgrade.
