Most smart TVs share the same major problem: they use ACR (Automatic Content Recognition), which tracks what you watch so the company that makes your TV can use that data to serve you more targeted ads. So unless you turn ACR off, there's a good chance your TV is already spying on you right out of the box. Samsung TVs have ACR, as do Roku, Vizio, Sony, TCL, Hisense, Fire TV, LG, and more.
