If there's one film genre that has had the biggest impact on me, it's sci-fi, hands down. I'll never forget seeing the opening crawl of Star Wars for the first time and being immediately captivated by everything on screen, from the Millennium Falcon and Darth Vader to the Force, lightsabers, and Yoda's wisdom. It was the kind of experience that made me realize how powerful science fiction could be.
