I have several audio receivers in my house, and each of them fits different needs. I have one in my living room for Dolby Atmos, I have one in my den for a record player, I have one in my spare bedroom just to hook some speakers up, and I once had one in my garage to plug in a pair of outdoor speakers. Little did I know that getting a receiver was just a gateway to getting more receivers. I didn't plan on this, but I started off with a Sony stereo receiver. I eventually ran into the limitations of that when I wanted surround sound for my living room.
