On Tuesday, Sonos officially took the wraps off its new lightweight and portable smart speaker: the Sonos Roam.
The device comes two years after the company launched the Sonos Move, its very first portable speaker, back in 2019. But Move is larger and a bit clunkier than the Roam â€" at six pounds, it's really only comfortable for carrying between rooms or out into the backyard.
Until now, it was the only portable option that Sonos offered. But it wasn't that ideal for those who wanted a speaker to use on the go.Â
The Sonos Roam, on the other hand, is a lot smaller and lighter. Weighing just under 1 pound, it's easy to throw into your bag and take with you to the beach, a campground, or, really anywhere that allows you to safely socially distance â€" you know, since we're still in a pandemic. Read more...
