Chapter 3 : The Country of Apples

As Monga’ s destiny was unfolding before him, and he was traveling to vira, on the east of the land of the middle great trouble was going on in the northern country of apples. The northern country of apples was composed of three tribes; and so was the southern country of apples. the tribe of the pomos, the homos and the simps. The pomos had been the dominant tribe for over a thousand years, ruling over the homos and the simps. Once the people from the north came to the land of the middle and the country of apples, they created divisions among the three tribes that were really just social classes, along racial lines. A few decades later when the people of the middle and country of apples revolted against the Northmen's, the homos came to power in the country of apples and inflicted great oppression on their former rulers, the pomos. The oppression got so bad that the pomos were forced to flee the northern country of apples; some fled to the crane’s land, others fled to the land of the middle, some other to the land of the deep lake and the southern country of apples where such oppression was not present. Among those who fled was the family of cats. The cat family was headed by a patriarch and a matriarch with their thirteen children three boys and ten girls; Niguel was the elder son, Marjorie was the elder daughter, Paul the second son, Yolanda the second daughter, Julia the third daughter, Persia the fourth daughter, Pandora the fifth daughter, Kade the third son, Jane the sixth daughter, Fabia the seventh daughter, Fabiola the eighth daughter, Latrice the ninth daughter, and Shiloh the tenth daughter. The whole family took refuge in the city of vira.

The land of the middle people gave good welcome to the fleeing people of the northern apples; hospitality was an important part of the culture of the middle and foreigners were given all the benefits and rights regular citizens received without discrimination. This allowed the cat family to prosper in wealth, and all of the thirteen children received a dissent education and grew up to become adults. The Cats family vowed that someday they would return to the northern country of apples where they had left their homes, and ancestral land. Although those who fled the northern land of apples lived a safe life in the land of the middle, those who remained in the country of apples continued experiencing great oppression, and racial discrimination. Tribalism was taught in all the schools and universities of the country of apples, and there were killings of pomos people regularly. Pomoses were not only considered to be second class citizens but even sometimes citizenship would be denied to them on the basis of their ethnicity.  Some pomos had established colonies in high mountainous areas of the east of the country in the middle, and this created tensions between them and local tribes, that would be the cause of frequent clashes between each other.
In the southern country of apples, the pomoses were in power, and this is why many pomoses found refuge there and were also prospering. The pomoses that fled to the crane's land were placed in camps and prevented to mix with the local population and most of them lived and conducted their businesses in those camps. Life was the hardest on them amongst all that fled and it was getting harder every day. The pomoses that lived in the crane’s lands felt an urgent need to return home, although being continuously denied access to their ancestral lands by the authorities in power of the homos. These homoses thought to keep the country of apples to themselves, as a way of implementing revenge for the years of domination by the pomoses; unfortunately, this claim was not legitimate since they shared all the same culture, language and religion with the pomoses, and the seed of racism was planted in them by the northemen’s. Therefore the tribalism that resulted in the killing of so many Pomoses already was a learned ideology that had no ground in reality. This tribalism was maintained by the northern kingdom of Gaol, which was the main ally of the homos, and wanted to establish itself as a new colonial power between the land of the middle, and the country of apples both the northern and southern; to achieve this goal they needed to divide and conquer every tribe of those lands.
Monga had finally arrived in vira, and went to his friend’s hospital as soon as he reached. Moni was very pleased and happy to see him after so many years. Moni was a fellow Monga tribesman that had moved to the east of the land of the middle to explore its vastness and he ended up building a hospital and making a living there.

Welcome my brother, he shouted as soon as he saw Monga knocking on his office door.
Thank you replied Monga.
I hope that the journey was not too hard on you? Asked Moni.
No, it wasn’t. I went through so many fascinating places I couldn’t get bored. This country needs more infrastructure anyway. He added.

Moni, got called urgently to assist with a patient that needs urgent medical attention.
I will be right back, he said, leaving Monga alone in his office.
Monga was curious about how the weather was incredibly hot, and the hospital lacked climatization as the modern hospitals of Sasa.
This place needs a little maintenance he thought to himself. With his heavy purse from the Chief’s gift, he could do anything, and he was wondering what was the right thing to do. Should he build his own hospital? Or partner with his friend, and improve this existing one? Before he could answer this question Moni, came back in and said :
My work hours are done, we can head home and you will give me news of the village.
Moni packed his bag, and he and Monga stood up and left the office then the hospital.  On their way home, they talked about life back at the village, and how they both studied the sciences from the north, Moni asked about news from everyone in the Village, and he was glad to hear that they were all doing fine. They started talking about the ceremonies and rituals; Monga explained how great his goodbye ceremony went and he also talked to Moni about his trip to vira, how he stopped by the village and found the chief’s son very sick.
He was suffering from Malaria. Monga Said. And luckily I had a kit on me and was able to treat him in a week.
How great replied Moni. The chief must have been very impressed. He added.
Yes, He was, and to prove it he rewarded me.
Moni wondered about the sort of reward that Monga had received from the chief.
A hundred pounds of Gold was his reward to me, said Monga. And all over suddenly all my financial problems were solved.
Congratulations said Moni. You are a rich man now. What will you do with your money?
I want to use it to help people, maybe start a hospital. Replied Monga.
As they kept walking, Moni convinced Monga that it was not necessary for him to spend his money on building a new hospital, which was tedious and could not earn him as much return on investment as he could hope, he advised him instead to use the money solely on his own personal benefits, to keep it for the time that he would need to build a family.
You do not need to build a hospital to heal people. Moni kept saying. You can come work at my hospital and still achieve that goal, and for your money keep it for yourself. Buy land and a house at the capital and when you will need to build a family it will help you and that will be your reward for helping those who needed your help. Despite his big heart that could only think about spending every penny for the needy Monga was smart enough to understand how reasonable the idea of Moni was, and he decided that the money he had received from the chief, would be used to secure himself and that he would work at his friend’s hospital as a pediatrician. Moni was a married man, and when they reached his home his wife came to greet him, she was also very pleased to see that her husband's best friend had paid her family a visit.
The town of Vira is surrounded by mountains and also was built at the shores of the deep lake, and shared a common border with the southern country of apples. Monga had planned that he would go relax and swim at the deep lake the next day since he wanted to familiarize himself with the local people before starting work. The night before he had dinner with Moni and his wife, and they went to bed very late in the night after all the laughter and souvenirs from the good old days had all been spoken. They also talked about the tragic situation of the country of apples and how refugees kept pouring in the land of the middle. Some in town were saying that there might be a great war sometimes in the future between the pomos and homos. In fact groups of pomos had been recruiting young men from families in the land of the middle that could serve as soldiers in a coming battle to regain access to the northern country of apples. But fortunately, peace and prosperity were flourishing in the land of the middle, and the problems of the country of apples seemed really distant.

Early in the morning, Monga was up as was his habits, he did some exercise and prepared himself for a day at the beach. Moni, unfortunately, had to work and could not enjoy the same. By around nine before noon, Monga left Moni’s household and walked some miles until he reached the beach. The Deep lake was really beautiful and they were young people swimming everywhere. As he felt the hot sand down on his feet, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath of serenity feeling like the future belonged to him, his heart was free of stress and worries of any sort, life was really good on Monga. That was until he opened his eyes and saw her. A marvelous sight of a beautiful woman swimming at a distance. Before he knew it, his calm serein heart started drum beating fast. His eyes could not even blink anymore, in all his life never had he seem beauty so perfect. Usually, his timid nature did not allow him to behave romantically toward women, but for this time it was different. An unknown force pushed him toward her. He dived into the lake and started swimming. As they swam around each other eventually they made eye contact, and monga felt like everything he believed so far and took for granted had vanished. She had eyes that could reveal the inner leopard sleeping within him, by looking into her eyes he saw deep within his own soul.

Hello, I am Valentin. He said.
She did not reply.

Maybe he thought that she didn’t hear him, he was about to repeat himself, then she said in the local Swahili language that she did not hear what he was saying. Monga had spoken in sasa language that some people in the land of the middle did not understand very well especially in the east, Swahili was the preferred language of the east of the land of the middle. But he could tell she was not a citizen of the land of the middle, and that she was a refugee from the northern country of apples.

Mimi Valentin. He said in swahili. And then she could understand that he was introducing himself to her.
Mimi Persia. She replied, in a shy manner. When he saw her behavior his heart almost bounced out of his chest. She was exactly the sort of woman he had been dreaming of meeting. From that moment he knew that he was going to have a love story with her. They sat on the sand and began talking to each other, he asked her where she was from; and where she lived; told her that he was a doctor and that he had just arrived from sasa. She was impressed and admired him, because of how kind and gentle he looked; Persia had come to the lake swimming with her younger sister Fabia; After she joined them,  Persia introduced her to Monga;
Nice to meet you said monga, and he asked Persia and her sister whether they could stop swimming and go sit in a bungalow to share drinks and eat some fish. Both girls agreed.  Monga was right about her being a foreigner. She was from the northern country of apples, of which he had heard about the legendary beauty of the woman, but now he could confirm that the rumors were true; women from the country of apples were truly beautiful.
They spend the entire day together, and very soon the sun starts setting on the beautiful deep lake. They had not seen the time passing, despite the fact that communication was not simply between them due to the language barrier. It is time I went home, she said. My father will come from work soon and if he did not find me and my sister home this could become a big problem. He will be very upset.
I understand, replied Monga, this is the duty of a father to protect his girls, especially when they are of such beauty.  So I shall walk you home he added.
After paying the bill Monga and the two girls started walking back home, she had told him that she lived next to the town’s main road, which was not too far from Moni’s place. When they reached within a hundred miles of her place she said :
Stop here. I wouldn’t like my sisters to see me being walked home by a man.
At least I know where you live. Replied Monga. I hope to see you again, he added.
She smiled and after saying goodbye to him, Persia and her sister ran back home. Monga disappeared away in an already dark night. What an encounter he thought to himself. For the first time in many many years he felt a true feeling of joy, as he reached Moni’s place and knocked, Moni’s wife opened the gate for him and she could tell straight away that something had changed in him.
How was the swim? She asked, And why are you so happy?
I had the happiest day of my life but I am tired, maybe I should rest and we will talk at dinner. He replied.
A few miles from there in the Cat family Persia was in the same state of mind. She had a joyous look on her face and all her sisters came rushing at her, asking about the swim and why they had come home so late.
Did you meet anyone? Asked Julia.
I was at the beach, of course, I met a lot of people. She replied.
She gave a complicit look to Fabia that had promised she would not reveal anything to the rest of their sisters. When the Cat father arrived home from work, all the children left the living room. This was a ritual among the girls of the Cat family. They allowed their patriarch a little time to relax and only the younger children could stay with him. The youngest daughter Shiloh while sitting next to her father told him that Persia had gone swimming and that she met someone at the beach. The Cat father got very upset but kept his calm for the moment; When he was done eating he called Persia to ask her about that person she met at the beach.
What is this I hear? he said.
It’s nothing father, she replied. I just went to the beach swam a little and came back. She added.
What about that man you met? Asked the Cat father. Angrily.
Persia shyly looked down, with guilt. Not replying a single word to her father. She was not a good liar and if she had said that she met no one she risked getting herself in serious trouble. As the father of a family of 13 children, the cat father ruled on his sons and daughters with strength and rigor. Physical punishment on his children was the most frequently used form of correction. Persia knew exactly what she was facing should she upset her father.
I need you to promise me that you will not see that man again. Said the Cat father.
I promise I won’t see him again; replied Persia, with her fingers crossed behind her back.
After the incident, she went to bed with her sisters. Usually, she would have been scared and terrified but not this time; all she could think about was her handsome prince which she was trying to figure out if she would ever see again. The night in the city of Vira was calm and dark, there was electricity only a couple of days per week, and households used only candles as a source of light. Nobody could be seen walking the street when the night was at its darkest, stories of wizardry, magic, and insecurity caused everyone to seek refuge with their family and wait for the sun to rise again the next morning. But this night Persia was not afraid, only a gentle sleep and beautiful dreams were there for her to enjoy. Deep inside her, she knew that she would see him again.

Monga started working at Moni's hospital and was really good at his job, as days passed by and he did not hear back from Persia,  he decided he should pay a visit to her family but how exactly he was not sure. He did not know enough about the culture of the people in the country of apples to know if it was appropriate for him to a surprise visit her. But he couldn’t help himself; he decided he would visit Persia, he knew where she lived anyway. He went into Moni’s office to talk to him about her;
What an encounter it was, he said, I need to see her again.
Go meet your crush, replied Moni, take the afternoon if you need to. I will cover it for you at the hospital.
So Monga left work early that afternoon and went to town to buy a present for Persia’s Mom as it was the custom in Monga’s village that when visiting a lady the men would offer a gift to the girl's mother, usually some loincloth, and he bought a beautiful walking stick as a sign of respect for Persia’s father. And here he was on his way to the cat’s family home.
When he arrived he knocked on the door and the house boy came to open for him;
Morning sir, who are you looking for he asked?
I have come to visit Persia replied Monga. Is she around?
One moment I will check, said the house boy, closing the door behind him, and he went into the house to tell Persia’s mom that there was a man on the door to visit Persia. The cat mother was furious; She called on Persia and asked her if she was waiting for anyone.
No mother, she replied.
So who is the man at the door here to visit you? What if your father comes back from work and finds him at the door?
Let me go talk to him and tell him to Go away, she said.
No replied the cat mother; let the house boy do this. If he sees you he will not want to go away. She added. So the house boy went back to the gate and talked to Monga in the following words:
I was asked to let you know that Persia is not available for a visit.
Is she not around? Asked Monga? I thought I heard her voice.
She is not around, said the house boy, who was from the country of apples.
Can I at least visit her parents to introduce Myself? Monga Insisted.
The cat mother noticed that the house boy was taking too long to close the gate and she got upset. She decided she should go talk to Monga by herself. When she arrived at the gate to her big surprise she noticed it was not the kind of boyish Men that usually came to try and date her daughters. This one was tall, respectable, well dressed and was driving a big vehicle. Also, he had presents in his hands. Her temper suddenly came down as soon as she saw the men. Despite her being impressed she faked an angry demeanor on her face as if she was unimpressed.
Good Afternoon to you mother. Said Monga politely. I come to visit you and the father of the home with presents.
What is the purpose of your visit? Asked the cat mother?
I am a friend to your daughter Persia. Replied Monga. But also a friend of her family.
I would gladly let you in my son, said the cat mother, but as you can see my husband is not home. And it is not in our custom to entertain guests without the presence of our family chief. Please return another day, and my husband will be here for you to visit us.
I understand said Monga. I will visit you again next week. He added. Please give my best to Persia.
Goodbye. Replied the cat mother as she closed her door. Monga entered his car, which was actually the car from the hospital that he had borrowed for the afternoon. And drove away from the Cat’s family home. He was not disappointed as he did not expect this to be an easy visit. And for all the trouble in the world he believed that Persia was worth it. It did not matter to him the number of times he would have to go visit her and be turned away, as he was firmly determined to see her again, and he also knew that she wanted him to visit her. Self-confident as he was this was the initial contact with the cat family that he expected and he was pretty satisfied with himself. It was already evening when Monga got back to the little apartment he was renting in town. Ever since he had started working at the hospital, and living with Moni he realized that it was time that he moved to his own place. And as always his favorite way to pass the time when he was not at work was book reading and TV watching. During the weekend he would go swimming at the deep lake. Thoughts started crossing his mind about what he should do with the gift that he had received from the chief, and he decided he would buy a house in sasa. He could have bought one in vira but it was better he thought that the money is invested in the capital of the land of the middle. So a trip back to Sasa was necessary; he had already made contact with one of Moni’s friends that were selling a good house in Sasa and most of the formalities were already taken care of. But he did not want to go back home without seeing Persia. So he needed to wait at least another week for the time he had promised to visit the Cat family to arrive. In the meantime he had sold all the Gold he received from the chief and opened a bank account where he stored all of his money. So a week passed and on the fifth day, it was time to visit Persia again. On that day Monga left work early and asked Moni to cover his afternoon at the hospital.
The day has come he said to Moni, and since I am going back to Sasa next week I need to see her.
Alright, replied Moni and good luck to you. I hope you get to see her this time.
So Monga jumped into the hospital car and drove all the way to the cat family’s house. When he arrived he honked his horn and this time the houseboy came to open the gate for him with a big smile on his face. As the red gate opened Monga drove his car into the compound where he could see that the cat father was seated outside of the home door with his wife and some of their children, among which he could not see Persia. After parking the car he got off and walked up to the cat father who stood up to greet him.
Welcome to the cat home said the cat father.
Thank you father replied monga. I bring presents to you and to our mother. He added.
He presented them with the gift he had bought for them and they handed them over to two of their kids that took them inside the house.
Thank you for the presents, you may take a seat, said the cat father.
And so Monga sat down with the cat father and mother. And they began talking. Monga explained to them where he was from, what was his occupation and what had brought him to the city of vira. The cat father seemed pleased with what he was hearing. So he also talked to him about the country of Apples where they are from and the work that he does as a businessman. Then after serving Monga a glass of milk the cat father arrived at the point and asked him:
What is the purpose of your visit my son? After hearing the origins and occupation of Monga the cat father like his wife before him was pretty impressed by Monga, Who started explaining how he met Persia and had become her friend and therefore the friend of her family; also he talked about how he had come to visit her the week before and was told that it would be better for him to meet her father first. The cat father smiled on his face and asked what exact sort of friendship Monga wanted out of Persia.
Nothing special and unusual said Monga, I just want to learn to know her and her family, he added. Monga had noticed that despite being very calm and reserved people the cat family members were very nice and decent people, and also welcoming. After several hours of talking and learning to know each other it was already evening when Persia and her sisters came back from school; At first, she got scared when she saw the car of Monga parked and he sat with her father, but then when she noticed the positive smile on her father’s face her worry got much less. She walked up to them and greeted with respect to her father, mother, and Monga.
There she is my daughter, said the cat father. There is someone here who comes to visit you, he added.
It is already evening so I will go back to the house. Said the cat father, Thank you for the visit and Persia will see you off when you are done talking to her. And so the cat father and mother went back inside the house and left Monga and Persia to talk to each other. They both seemed happy to meet again after so long.

It has been a long time since we met, said Monga. How have you been? I have been Fine replied Persia; I am just coming from school right now, she added. I am very tired so if you do not mind I may escort you and get back inside.  I understand, replied Monga. But I was hoping to talk to you a little more. He added. Then he noticed that she was signaling to him that despite the fact that her father seemed like he had no problems with her she could actually get in a lot of trouble if she did not wrap this up as quickly as possible; The culture in the country of apples did not authorize behavior of this type for girls. He then proceeded to talk to her about how he was traveling back to Sasa. She seemed a little shocked that he would leave her so shortly after they started knowing each other. But he reassured her that He would be back in not so long that all he needed was to go to the capital city and make a purchase then he would come back. I want to meet you again one last time before I leave. Said Monga. Let's meet tomorrow at the deep lake. I don’t know if my parents will give me permission to go swimming. She replied. But I will try to come.  Let's say that if by three in the afternoon we haven’t met at the deep lake then we will meet next time I am in Vira, said Monga. He stood up and Persia went back inside the house to let her parents know that Monga was living. The cat father came and said goodbye to Monga, asking him when they would have the pleasure of his visit again, he explained to him that he was traveling to sasa the week after and that he would be back in about a month. After saying goodbye to both the cat father and mother, he greeted Persia too and entered his car driving it out of the compound of the cat family. Darkness was already upon Vira when Monga reached the hospital and dropped the car to walk back to his apartment. All along the way, there was only one thing walking through his mind; was she going to make it tomorrow at the deep lake? When he reached his apartment he went straight to bed. A couple of miles from there the cat father was discussing with his family; The cat mother and Persia were talking about the young men that had paid them a visit in the afternoon. He is a kind man, and very calm and respectful. I liked him, said the cat father. Thank you father replied Persia. What are your feelings about him? Asked the cat mother. I am not sure, replied Persia, for me, we are just very good friends; I enjoy our conversations she added. He is a very intelligent man. Very good, said the cat father, let it remain like that I say. Let him only be a good friend. Because we are from the country of apples and he is not. All we can be is friends. Do you understand Persia? Asked the cat father. I understand your father replied Persia respectfully. The cat father went to bed and so did the rest of the members of the cat family household. Persia on her sleeping bed was making plans of how she would do it to meet Monga at the deep lake the next day. Usually, school ends at around one in the afternoon, since I have to meet him at three in the afternoon I will pass by him before I get back home and this way I can see him one last time before he goes back to Sasa she thought to herself. The night was very dark and silent in the city of Vira; most of the spirits from the deep lake were being blown through the winds on all of the city and despite the darkness, a blue like the color was floating in the air. It was the powerful spirits from the deep lake that overlooked the destinies of all the people who ever had a swim within the lake, they could see the past, the present and the future of whoever they wanted. One powerful spirit looked in the direction of the apartment of the young leopard Monga and he could notice that the leopard spirit attached to him was not from the eastern part of the land of the middle rather from the great forest, spirits from the great forest are much much more powerful than the spirits of the deep lake but the spirits of the deep lake are more benevolent. The powerful spirit noted that a war was being prepared against the young leopard, as he could see demons raining from heaven with fireballs attacking the leopard. Where are you from? Asked the spirit from the lake. And why are you attacking that leopard? We are from the great forest and this leopard belongs to us, replied one of the demons. Who sent you? Asked the spirit from the deep lake; We were sent by the great sorcerer of Bumba village replied the demon, the great sorcerer was greatly offended by the betrayal of this leopard. The leopard has given up its gods for the God of the north, he betrayed his tribe and the great sorcerer has demanded that he would be tormented until he returns to the gods of his ancestors or be killed. Monga was turning on his bed in nightmares when he woke up out of breath and sweating looked around terrified, he wondered why he had just had this terrible dream of him being strangled by a shadowy shape, he was able to escape the shape by uttering the name of the son of God, then the shape ran off. What is the meaning of this? He thought to himself. Maybe it was just a nightmare, he said to himself and went back to sleep. No further attacks were launched on him for the rest of the night. In the morning Monga went to the hospital, as usual, he talked to Moni about the terrible night that he had spent, and explained to him some of the details of the dream. Moni was intrigued; he told Monga that he had heard rumors back at the village of sorcerers being able to reach people through their dreams.
Have you offended any spirit? Asked Moni
Not to my knowledge replied Monga. And you know that I do not believe in spirits.
Spirits and evil are real replied Moni, you better be aware of this. How could you not believe in them after all that we have been through back at the village? Added Moni.
There is always a rational explanation to all those things, retorted Monga. Give me one example of an unexplained event that I may offer you a scientifically valid explanation.  He added.
Do you remember that time all the enemies of the chief got struck by lightning one after the other? Asked Moni. In fact, back in their young age, Monga and Moni were both still kids in the Bumba village when a succession conflict erupted within the ruling family of the village the current chief had as a main ally the guild of sorcerers; it was whispered at the time that all those who opposed him as the successor to the throne of his father died by a lightning strike.
I remember said Monga; but listen to this carefully, I believe that it was a pure coincidence what happened at that time. He added.
Three people can not simply die of a lightning strikes within a week and all related to each other replied Moni. That is more than just coincidence. He added. My advice to you when you go back to sasa make sure you pass by the village and go talk to the great sorcerer about this nightmare that you had.
Monga did not answer, as he knew that the great sorcerer was not happy with him practicing the sciences of the north to cure people in the village.

I have to see Persia before I leave for Sasa, said Monga. I am meeting her today at the deep lake. He added. When it was time Monga left work and went to the deep lake to wait for Persia; seating in the hot sand with a strong wind blowing from the deep lake, the beach was empty as it was around noon. People in the city of vira did not like swimming at noon, because they believed that a mermaid called Mammy water lived in the depth of the deep lake, and the rumors were that every noon she would come to the beach as an extremely beautiful woman to do her makeup with a golden mirror. It was also believed that the golden mirror was an attraction impossible to resist and that once one had touched it and looked at his reflection in the mirror their soul would eternally belong to the mammy water. Monga, of course, did not believe in these stories that he considered to be only myths and legends. So there he was, seated with eyes looking far in the green and blue waters of the deep lake; as he looked slightly to the right there was a girl swimming alone in the water, who could this be? Maybe the stories of the queen of the deep lake were real? He stood up and approached and as he was getting closer she also came out of the water with her light dark skin shining of al the noon colors of the deep lake, it wasn’t mammy water; He could recognize Persia, she had gotten there as early as he did and decided to take a swim as she waited. What a fearless woman thought Monga. Here they were, only the two of them alone at this immense beach; she called to him, and he joined her in the water heated by the blazing sun. The deep lake is a dangerous place, known for its population of crocodiles and hippopotamus where swimming alone is not recommended.  But they did not mind the risks and as they were together they realized how much in love with each other they truly were. It seemed to them as if time had frozen, and there was no one else in the entire world than the both of them, in that very magical moment where all the elements seemed to be aligned, they made love to each other. I need to get home now it is getting late, said Persia. I wouldn’t like to get in trouble with my father and mother. She added. I will escort you home, replied Monga. And so they both got out of the waters, dressed up and got into Monga’s car and drove to Persia’s home. The eyes full of stars and hearts full of joy.
