Ahead of its annual I/O developer conference for 2025, Google recently took the wraps off its fresh new design language for the Android operating system. When this Material 3 Expressive visual overhaul was first leaked ahead of its official unveiling, I wasn't initially sold on it -- I'm generally resistant to change, and I felt unsure about all the added blurs and animations sprinkled throughout the system.
